In
case you didn't catch it on the main
page, my name is Donna, and this is my web site.
I am a graduate of Texas A&M Commerce (formerly known
as East Texas State University) in Commerce, Texas. I moved
to the Dallas area of Texas in April 1994 and have lived
here ever since.
I "discovered" computer networks in late 1989
when I stumbled onto this thing called BITNET (does anyone
remember me from RELAY?). I later moved onto the Internet
via IRC and MUD's. I created my
first web page in 1994, after a friend told me about
this "wonderful new thing called the 'world wide web'".
These days, my presence on the Internet is mostly confined
to e-mail and the web, though I do occasionally drop in
on ICQ, IRC, or Yahoo Messenger. Hobbies outside of
the Internet include drawing,
playing tennis or volleyball, collecting fossils and Native
American artifacts (like arrowheads, etc), and especially,
travel and photography.
Lifetime
goals:
-
To
write--and have published--at least one novel (probably
science fiction, since that is my favorite genre).
-
To
set foot on all 7 continents--I've done five so far.
-
To
retire early enough to enjoy it.
